If we are talking about the freeze plugs then you should give some serious thought to replacing them. I've found that whenever these exhibit a small leak and I remove them it's amazing how badly rusted they are but (naturally) it's only evident on the back side. The small pinhole they are leaking from is usually in the center of an area that's paper thin and likely to blow out at any time. It's not too bad a job, just requires some patience. The plugs are a standard size, cheap and available at any parts store. If you buy the brass ones for a few extra bucks you'll never have to do them again. You could also pay to have them replaced, any decent mechanic should be able to do it easily. Good luck
