If the facia material is in one piece, this is what has worked for me.
Get some super glue that is the thick stuff, look for it, it's out there. not the water consistency stuff.
Get some Blue Three M painters tape, don't need much.
clean the groove in the plastic with a Q tip and rubbing alcohol, nothing stronger please!
prep some pieces of the tape by tearing them off, about 4-6 inch strips and fold about half an inch back over to make a tab/handle for later use. I parked several on the steering wheel, just the end stuck to it.
put the nozzle of the applicator of the THICK super glue in the plastic track previous cleaned and draw a bead where required, if your need is long do this in sections. Then press the first section adjacent to the ok part into the groove and get a piece of tape and tape from the outside of the dash towards the middle and start the tape with the NON tab side. pull it tight as you put it on the dash, it doesn't have to actually attach to the fascia, just before and after, it's holding that rubber stuff against the plastic while the superglue cures (I like to leave the tape on for a couple of days). Keep doing this and make more tape strips as needed. modifiy the amount of glue to prevent it from coming out and getting everywhere.
when you take the tape off, try to park either inside a nice warm garage, or out in the direct sunlight. then using that tab/handle you made ealier gently tug towards the outside, this keeps any stress from towards the middle.
