It (window) might have come off the track or the track jammed? You have to take off the door card ( trim ) to see what could be the problem. The vapor barrier is a white plastic form fitting piece that you need to be very careful of during removal. Try to keep it in one piece for two reasons...replacement is expensive, and one side is no longer available.....can't recall which one..... Just be very careful in slowly prying the plastic away from the goo that they used to adhere it to the door frame, so it can go back on in one piece. Use some good tape to repair the tears, because you will more than likely rip the thin material. Once that white vapor barrier is off, you will see the mechanism though it is difficult to see then entire system as it is contained within the door structure.
