Hey all, what do u think about this Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() |
all day i have been searching the archives on saabnet for a solution to my problem.
i think i found it but ill run it by you all to compare thoughts.
the problem is this,
me being stressed for time i had none to fix my 900 so, i dropped it off at the local indy for some few minor parts. for like gauges, and so on you know nothing major.
when i dropped the car off it was performing excellent as in its operation
when it was finished i flew by to pick it up and cruse to my next destination which i was already late for.
anyhow immediately when i hit the brake pedal the pedal went to the floor,
and the car acts as if only the rear brakes are stopping it.
the brakes were perfectly fine when i dropped the car off, in fact it could stop on a dime from 100mph to 0 with-in 4 sec. so i thought perhaps cv joint grease on the front rotors or maybe air was induced, so i cleaned the rotors and bled the front brakes, and still i have the problem. (with no fluid loss)
so after searching the archives i see there was a similar problem with a car that had dirt or sand induced into the master cylinder that caused the effect of a bad master brake cylinder and when it cleared the brakes were perfectly fine.
this is what im leaning on thinking perhaps dirt was induced into the reservoir.
just wondering, how easy is it to destroy a brake master cylinder?
and how or what should be the rout in cleaning it as not to upset its current seals.
thanks as allways for the thoughts
