Maybe someone has some insight on this. Car is a 93 900S 'vert. Today I was driving in a parking lot, when I spotted that extra-close spot near the entrance (it was raining). My left blinker was on, and I had to put the car in reverse to make it into the spot. As soon as reverse was engaged (and the reverse lights came on), the left blinker stopped blinking. Instead, it remained "on", and the left blinker light on the dashboard remained illuminated. Things remained on even after I moved the signaler back into the "no signal" position. It was as if the turn signal was stuck in the "on", left-signaling position.
I came out from the store and restarted the car. The left turn signal light on the dash was still fully illuminated, as was the front and rear turn signal lights. On the highway (car was on about 5 minutes) the lights finally went off, back into their normal position. The signals worked normally the rest of the way home.
Is there a short in the signal-shifter assembling, attached to the steering wheel?
