I've used the one you can get on Ebay. Here are my comments:
It is a lighter weight that the kind you buy and cut yourself. That is not really a problem though since it is already cut. In fact, the lighter weight gives it a nice look once it is on and dry.
The cut is exact, but I suggest you "dry fit" it first. In other words , make sure you have the right one before peeling off the backing.
Clean the windows perfectly, preferably with vinegar and a razor. If there s even one little thing there it will stay for years (my film has lasted fine for 3 years now with no significant sign of scratches or peeling.)
Do this in a garage if you can. The light weight makes even the lightest breeze blow the tint film around once the heavier backing is off. If you get it stuck on itself, there will be creases in the final product. (don't ask me how I know this) Also, any dust in the air will be drawn by the static of the film and quickly embed into the sticky glue.
Buy the window film juice they offer, or get it at the auto parts store. It works great. This type of film isn't exactly the same as the windex type. It uses a soapy liquid, maybe it is just soap. See if they will send you the directions ahead of time. You probably know this but, don't stick it dry, use the wet window with solution, and wet the film with solution. Mix up your solution in a spray bottle.
Plan for several hours to do this and don't rush. Try and get all of the solution out if you can. I found the credit card sized plastic to be just right as a squeegee. If there is a little haze, don't worry, it will dry out eventually. In fact the film looks better over time. I think it completely dries out and clarifies over time.
