if it is the same thing that was happening on my 91t. A loud high pitched hiss that sounded just like a vacuum leak was coming from the area around the AIC and it turned out to the the hose from the AIC to the back side of the throttle gate. The hose had become deformed over time and set up some sort of resonance that went away when I loosened the clamps and rotated the hose so that it was less deformed, or you could not be so cheep as I am and buy a new hose.
