10W30. It doesn't last indefinetly but seems OK for the first 1,000 miles or so then I guess the (here I was told this) little check valves in the lifters get dirty again. I will eventually replace lifters if it sounds like a deisel for 15 minutes.Have a good winter Bob. Picked up a fairly decent 1988 SPG Hatchback. Supposdly has a dizzy hall sensor issue, but I think I need to check compression. As I suspect a different issue as car starts OK. I have so much work to do to make anyof them perfect. I think after winter, I'll be selling the 92 hatchback and 90 sedan. It makes me sad I can't have them all. I will just have to settle for the GF 1994 vert, my 93 vert and the SPG. After I restore the 92 vert, it's getting sold too. So much to do, so little time.
