Karl,
if it's coming from the crankshaft seal, then it may be worth having a closer look at the one you've just installed. If it's scantech then try finding original one. If it still leaks then it can me the cover that may be damaged or even the crankshaft that is sawed by the previous seals.
If it's coming from the cover seal then:
- remove the old seal
- clean the surface, but not damage it or leave any marks
- install the new seal
- install the oil-pump cover back onto the engine having all those bolts tightened with torque wrench (25+-2 nm, if my memory serves me right)
If it doesn't help then you can try using come silicone sealant, but very careful and with the minimal amount req'd. It's worth giving it some time to dry out before you bolt that cover back onto the engine.
