The mix is to be 20% to the 10-30w. My theory is that the hydrostatic pressure is too great and caused pressure on the bearing and the bearing race. 87/9000t transmission didn't last a week. The "Lucas" gear lube is more for a rear drive differential, like the one's in an older pick-up truck. This stuff is just pure oil without additives. Wear is wear and just changing the oil in the trans. to the recommended 10-30w would be the safest. Additives just aren't for all conditions. I still swear by "Lucas" automatic transmission additive and the power steering stop leak and conditioner. Changing oil on a regular basis helps drain the metal particles that normally get into the oil from wear. Saabs just shift a bit slower from what I've noticed.
