don't forget those two bolts on the firewall side of the head, 12 mm heads, that are from the block into the head. you will not be able to get the head off without removing them.
I was re-reading a write up on fix my saab and didn't see them mentioned at all.
one is not to difficult to get to, the one closer to the power steering pump is sometimes painful, you will want to loosen the PS belt adjustment bolts and slide the bracket as far to the right side as they obstruct getting to the bolt, you will see what I mean. I've been pretty happy with a 1/4" drive micro step cheap ratchet and a 12 mm socket. It's the kind you find at Auto Zone or similar and has a short handle and you push the attachment part thru to the other side to reverse direction. That's the description of it, the important part is that it has a different internal mechanism and doesn't need anywhere near the swing to get it to latch for turning, it's almost like a friction setup, no click stops like the normal craftsman or snap on ratchet wrench. pretty inexpensive too.
