Hi, Saabnut:
Thanks.
The spring is sort of cone shaped with a gentle tapering-off. The dimensions are:
1. The un-compressed length = 90mm
2. The inside diameter of the small end = 7mm (this is critical, it needs to fit snugly on the end of the plunger).
3. The outside diameter of the larger end = 11mm
4. The coil has 13 spirals.
5. The thickness of the spring wire = 0.75mm
#4, 5 determine the strength of the spring. Also, determine how hard it would be to push the unit in for the rebuild. Need to get the "sweet spot".
Really appreacite the offer. But, having searched, in vain, a very impressive "industry-to-industry" hardware store, I doubt seriously if one suitable spring could be found.
Also, have decided against getting a used spring from a junk master cylinder, because it could fail anytime. My spring has become very brittle.
