Remarks on the hitch interfering with the bumper cover is correct. The Saab accesory catalogs describe it (p/n 0230391)to fit all years of the classic 900. I avoided cutting my bumper by making a new "H" bracket out of steel plate which is approx. an inch longer. There is another hitch offered by Saab (p/n 0271254)which mounts the same way but is a receiver style hitch. This one is listed for the '87 & up only. Very hard to find.
