Fan Switch dilemma

Hi folks,
I've been digging through the forums trying to figure out why my car was having trouble overheating. I finally tracked it down to a dead cooling fan. My fans are working just fine now and they're keeping the car a lot cooler. I have been toying with replacing the fan switch in the radiator with an 82 deg. one. But I am not sure if I have an 82 deg one installed already. I bought this car used and it had been modified (airflow kit $ red APC). Is there a way to tell if what temp. switch I have? If so, how do I do it?
Thanks!
