Shut the car off, and leave it off for at least 30 minutes. Disconnect the battery for that time, if you like. Then, make sure the key is noplace near the car, and just remove the airbag with a Torx screwdriver through the holes in the back. Two screws. Then pull the connector off the back (you might want to ground yourself to the car's chassis to bleed off any static electric charge). Set the airbag down on a flat surface, metal side DOWN.
22mm nut for the wheel.
However, if the horn is bad,and you've exhausted all other possible problems (the buttons, the horns themselves...), I've got bad news for you. There isn't a simple "slip ring" like there is on non-airbag cars. There is what is commonly referred to as the "clockspring" mechanism that carries the horn contact, AND the airbag contacts. If you're also getting an airbag light, that's your culprit. The whole piece has to be replaced. I haven't bought one for a long time, and it was over $125 then. You can replace it yourself, but be sure to have the factory instructions handy, or you could end up breaking the new clockspring.
Good luck!
