bleeding.
After a rebuilt unit failed when i installed new pads (it was in use for 3 months prior), and a new unit was bad out of the box ( i bled it like 20 times), i started to question my ability to bleed brakes (pedal kept going to the floor). I installed the old one from my SiS, which held up for a shot time, and then the pedal would slowly drop. Just got a re-built unit, bled it up, and all is good! However, while bleeding, the pedal would still slowly drop. I'm talking during the process, in between steps. So, the air in the master (i did some bench bleeding, but don't know how thorough) was causing the same symptoms as a failed master. I did not know this was possible. I thought that air would always cause a spongy pedal, not to go to the floor.
Just thought i'd mention it, in case anyone else starts thinking their new master is bad, bleed again (and again...). Pressure bleeding is the way to go, IMHO
Good luck
