I agree with Simon. I've seen 2 repair methods. I had my first repair in the mid 90's They cut the the rubber hose out and welded crimpable ends onto the steel lines. Very nice looking but cost almost as much as a OE hose. I later found a similar setup on a wreck that I took home for much less money because it was used and I pulled it myself. A couple months ago I pulled another used one from a wreck. It had off the shelf compression fittings and the hose section is removable. Because of that the fittings can be loosened and the ends 'clocked' to line up properly. I took it to a local hose shop and they said it looked like their work and they would charge less than $20. The advantage being they use 800psi industrial grade hose.
