11 mm extension on the tensioner is the official service limit for determining when you should change the chain.
By far, the worst outcome would be having the chain break on the interstate commuting to or from work and having the car totaled by a tailgating SUV driver who's not paying attention. Having had one SPG totaled by a truck was more than enough for me. Better to have a wonderful 21-year old car with slightly sloppy new chain.
Upper sprockets look good. Good question on the lower one, but the car has had nothing but Mobil 1 in the sump for the last 11 years, so it should be OK. Upper chain guide is new. Good question about the condition of the chain guides.
Having a new chain rolled in is a temporary stopgap until I'm able to properly replace the sprockets, guides, etc.
