You aren't even 100% sure that it is the problem. On our 1989 turbo, the ECU has failed 3 times, and the AMM has failed once. The ECU failed the first time and caused a no start condition. The second and third time it failed, the car ran poorly (rich) and the check engine light was on. It ran well enough to get the car home though.
When the AMM failed, the car lacked power at full boost, as if it was going lean. It was subtle. If you weren't running it hard, you probably wouldn't notice.
Anyway, the -570 ECU is the right one. -948 is the 90-93 unit which is more reliable, and plugs right in and works fine. That is what is in our 1989 now. -564 and -580 will also work. They are from non turbos (1989 and 1990). The car will be down on power under full boost though as the fuel map isn't the same. I've used these too while looking for the right one.
Don't pay more than $75 or so for a used one. There are plenty left. The rebuilds are no more reliable than the original, so don't be fooled into paying more than you have to. As Jeff said, just look on the bay and buy one.
