Unless the '90 was an SPG with a TE05-12B Mitsubishi manufactured turbo they're exactly the same Garrett turbo that always has a cracked turbine housing. If one of your turbo's is in real good condition besides the cracked turbine housing you can just replace the housing although they're a real pain to get off without damaging the turbine wheel! If your car is a manual trans and the '90 engine came with a flywheel and clutch the '90 up ones will handle more HP! I'm getting ready to install a complete '90 SPG 5 speed drive train into an '88 and I noticed that I'll need to use the '88 throttle body as the '90 one doesn't have the vacuum source provision for the '88's charcoal canister, as far as I know everything else should be a bolt in! Dave at SPG9 805-235-3951 BTW I have an extra brand new TB0357 turbine housing if you go that route!
