You can't directly compare what an online retailer charges for parts with what a shop will charge for the same parts. There are several places where the parts price is marked up. There is the wholesale price, the "jobber" price, and the retail price.
Wholesale is what the warehouse pays for the part from the manufacturer or importer.
"Jobber" price is what the warehouse charges a shop for the part. The Warehouse takes their "profit" from the difference. This markup pays for things like the warehouse space, warehouse staff, delivery trucks, etc.
Retail is what you or I pay from the shop, or auto parts house. The markup here goes to support the shop in a similar manner to the above.
All along the chain, people depend on these markups to stay in business. This is one reason why shops don't usually like people bringing their own parts. They're not getting their markup, among other things.
If you want to pay the cheap prices for the parts, you really need to learn to do the work yourself. Then, you save all that labor, too!
