I was stuck in a traffic jam the other day in my 91 900 CVT with a 1989 gearbox. I noticed the clutch pedal felt a bit odd, and about 30 seconds later I was in 1st gear frantically trying to make my way off the highway without hitting anyone. There's no clutch action, but there was a very little bit earlier.
The master looks shiny and the slave looks old. I pinched the flexible line with pliers and pressed the pedal and felt force in the line, and my assistant said the pedal firmed up, so I think slave. I bought the stupid O-rings from eeuroparts, upon seeing them I am disappointed...
But, I have no noticeable fluid loss, and the car has been sitting now for like two weeks.
I remember when I bled the slave last year, the fluid came out black, baaad seals :)
How the hell to compress the plate? I like the grease gun idea...
