hello everyone i just got into another 91 900 i havent worked on one in a few years this has the same problem i had before with my 900s and i have after deciphering the instructions given to me by an old transmission mechanic i knew when i was a kid hahaha i have solved this riddle that has plagued me ever since i ended up storing the s there is a small tube at the fire wall directly on the other side of the clutch pedal "name goes here??" hah yeah there is apparently a ballspring inside and that spring gets compressed so the clutch pedal stops working this eventually causes some damage to the plate how?? i dont know probably from forcing it in gear or mashing down on the clutch pedal harder and harder to get it to work which i know damages the spring further and eventually will cause a break in a shift fork. (yipes!) which is what happened to my other ride ! whew! i knew this time that all that has to be done if your in a bind and still looking for this part is to just place a rod on the tube and just give the other end a very light tap with a mallet this frees up the spring but your going to need to replace that part asap or it will damage your gearbox. my question???> whats the name of this part? i cant seem to find my manual anywhere and the guys locally at all the national autoparts chains... wel... dont know jabic about classic saabs....
