You can't cut it longer, so be conservative. I'd just score it with a NEW razor, then let the car do the rest.
I'd be happy its too long compared to the opposite possibility. You could also just drive it. and forget about it.
can't you pull the inner clamp back even a little bit? or cut it and then re-do with regular hose clamps?
