Just picked up a 92na. The shift lever is a little mushy. Had a mechanic look at it . He said the coupling is solid and the shift lever is tight. The rubber sleeve in the gearshift must be loosening up. Has anyone drilled the rod and inserted roll pins to tight it up? I need to take out the front carpet and give it a good washing so the rod will be right there. I have a good shift rod but would like to wait until the temp goes back into the 80's to install it.
