Reverse idlers from 1991 on are all the same so it sound like you should be good but the way to tell a pre-'91 idler from a 91> is that the early one has wide, flat tips on it's teeth and the later ones have narrow, chamfered tips. In the attached photo the later gear is on the left and the rust on the old style gear is from my tears when I discovered that I couldn't buy a new one anymore (they are NLA).
