Are you sure it's the hatch rattling, and not the rear seatback latches? Those are notorious for rattling/squeaking. Drive with the rear seat folded down, and see if the noise goes away.
The hatch can be adjusted somewhat. Can you see any rubbing areas? Anyplace where the hatch is too close to the body? There are two plastic/rubber stops on the hatch. You may find that extending one or both will help.
