3.51kohm at about 13C so that's about right as per bentley... if it's just a ntc thermistor inside, I'd expect it to last a long time (connections + corrosion aside)... not sure of an easy way to test it further aside from pulling it?
searching the board, I see similarities with other AMM failures. hoping something else... AMM (among other things) was tested by our indy + ok back in March + and we only put about 1000 miles the car since then (back then was running rough + replacing charcoal canister purge valve fixed it).
To test AMM, some people have posted resistance measurements between pins 3+6 (ideally 380 ohms)... One of those was also a 1989 (see link). AFAIK, that works for the old adjustable aluminum AMM's but didn't the pinout change with the newer plastic ones? if so, is there a similar easy electrical test? Unfortunately my other car is a 1993 with different AMM p/n so I can't just swap...
