So I am planning a HG jobber for the coming weekend. I do not hear any rattles, but she's got 179K on her, and unless the PO changed the chain at or before 75K, its the original, tensioner too.
Should I dive into this, using the roll-it-thru method described by emil last week, or leave that dog until the engine is out some day (maybe when I transplant the engine to my non-rusty 93 900T)...?
Should one need to replace guides at the same time to properly do the job (talking myself out of this of course)...?
