if you've put 60k on it + still on the original plugs/cap/rotors/wires from before you bought it, I would start there first. Cheap + easy, + good to do anyway even if it isn't the root cause. As Anders reminded me a few threads below, only Bosch cap + rotor, Bougicord wires, and the correct NGK plugs gapped properly...
I've just had both our c900s go through similar problems in the last 2 weeks. One was a cracked (non-Bosch) cap (with maybe 30k on it). The other was a seriously grungy + worn cap + rotor at 50k. That one died completely at the side of the road! Symptoms from the first car were very similar to your description above (issues when cold, idle dropping, almost stalling, missing on acceleration, but then ran perfectly once warmed up)... second car just got quickly progressively worse (over a short drive) until it would not move...
btw, I also had to replace the + battery cable in both those cars due to crumbling insulation at the chassis clamp... not a bad idea to look over all the "power" wiring for issues at the same time (eg alternator wiring) even though it's not likely the problem... what a mess when that stuff starts to crumble!!
good luck!
James...
