I don't think this will help you, because you need a key that has been cut, but I wanted to share this.
I lost my spare set of keys to my '92 900T on my move to NY from LA, and I have been trying in vain for weeks to locate a place to get a copy of my Saab keys made. I heard $75 - $150 A PIECE often from dealerships, and I had to provide proof of ownership, plus wait the 2 weeks that it would take to mail out and receive my keys back. (what am i supposed to do with my car for 2 weeks with no keys?)
I found this place called Greenwich Locksmiths in the Village in NYC. When I walked in through the door made of keys, the guy was working on a rare french key that looked like a cross between a pitchfork and an I beam. The man who brought the key in couldn't believe he found a place that could make a copy.
At any rate, he took a look at my keys, said "No problem", and in 7 minutes, I had Ilco copies of my keys, which fit and worked perfectly on the first try. Price? $7.50 a piece!
If you have keys and need copies, try these guys in NYC. They buy the blank stock from dealers that go out of business, so you will likely score there. Talk to them on the phone, I'd bet they'd be willing to do mail service provided you pay the postage. Quite a find for the Saabophile.
