I am the VP of Ops for an Exhibit House in Denver, we own a solvent printer that will print full color and then can custom cut the image in adhesive vinyl - much like you'd get with a bumper sticker. The full color emblem comes up find in Photoshop and would print nicely.

If you are really looking for a chromed die cut emblem, I would recommend locating a company that does waterjet work - they can take aluminum or other flat stock materials and custom cut that image. Then it could be sent to a company that can put chrome on it or powder coat it.
This will be costly - When we've done one off pieces like this - it's been a couple hundred dollars.

The vinyl decal is easy and inexpensive - they wont' last forever or have the look of the Maserati emblem - but for $25.00 it's a decent alternative.

To bad I have a convertible - otherwise I'd put one on my car for a while...
