Throttle position sensor. Check the small set screw at the throttle body. I've seen were people try adjusting this and it changes the TPS setting. The set screw should just be at the exact closing point of the throttle butterfly. The screw is there so the throttle plate doesn't stick against the housing. Once this is set properly, then adjust the TPS so it just clicks at the instant the throttle cable pulls. BPV either hold vacuum or doesn't. Clogged air/fuel filter would suffer at higher speeds. Better also check the condition of the coil and coil wire lead. For the price, just get yer some new NGK plugs. Old plugs can have weaken effects at idle speed from compession. Checked a friends 88/9000s that had spark on old plugs (outside the engine). Replaced with new plugs and problem was fixed.
