All c900 turbos had a Garrett T3 exhaust flange bolt pattern; therefore, any 85-93 (+94 convt.) turbo will fit among those years (see Notes below). (I believe that you can also use any 82-84 turbo from an 8-valve car with APC but you'd want to confirm that -- there might be a oil return line fitment issue?? Not sure about the pre-APC turbos.)
85-87 -- oil-cooled Garrett T3
88-90, EXCEPT 90 SPG -- water-cooled Garrett T3
90 SPG ONLY -- water-cooled Mitsubishi TE05-12B, which were smaller than T3s and therefore spooled quicker
91-93 (+94 conv.) -- all turbocharged engines had Mitsubishi TE05s
(This is all for the US market; other markets may differ.)
NOTES (pertains to 16V engines only):
--All 88-93 (+94 convt.) water-cooled turbos bolt on to 85-87 engines; either add the water lines from an 88+ or just don't use them. CAVEAT: I have *read* that you can run them without water but have no first-hand experience. Personally, I would add the water lines. YMMV.
--All 85-87 oil-cooled turbos bolt on to 88+ engines; plug/remove the water lines. It's easier to get another water-cooled turbo here.
--T3 water-cooled and TE05 are interchangeable with no modification.
