Hey gang, I got a real challenge for you guys.

About 4 weeks ago I was driving my 900 s home in the dead of the Alaskan winter, (around 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit) and all the antifreeze pumped itself out though a rotted gasket. I changed the waterpump, thinking that was the problem but it turns out it was ok. It turns out it was a gasket on just the other side of the housing that went.

It's difficult to describe this item, if you look at the water pump you see that its bolted onto a piece of metal that is part of the engine block. On the front side of it, is a bolted on piece that has three different places you attach hoses, one for the lower radiator line, and two for the heater core in the dashboard. That is where the gasket failed. I did a home made gasket and made sure it doesn't block any ports and matches the stock item found on eeuro parts.

So I fix that and the antifreeze is circulating just fine yet, in single degree weather and above the engine seems to randomly climb in temperature. It goes from half way to over 3/4 of the way up the gauge.
The heater core in the car seems to be effected, it turns the air luke warm, which tells me there is something up. But the system is pressurized and hot to the touch...
But to further confuse matters, it sometimes doesn't have any problem and keeps the car cool like it should be.

The only consistent variable I've found is that when this happens, ever hose is hot to the touch, except for the big hose that attaches to the bottom radiator hose port. The port right next to the fans.

Thanks in advance for any help, this is really puzzling.
