unless you're having problems or have a heated garage to work in, I'd wait till spring: it's frigging cold here right now (-29C + windchill, as I type this). If you need to change coolants you will need to do a thorough flush + that would be torture this time of year! If the car has had "the green $h!t" in it for 20 years, what's another 3 months going to do?
fwiw, one might be concerned about running the 82 degree thermostat in a very cold climate (eg not enough heat I think was one concern)... I've had no problems at all (that I am aware of)... also, it is wise to do both 82 degree parts at the same time - just doing the thermostat can cause a temperature overshoot (eg when you get off the highway), and that can be made worse by a questionable radiator to the point of being nerve-wracking (ask me how I know!)...
