I always run super (93) in my turbo cars. It's more expensive, but the performance is better.
The engine computer will compensate for whatever grade you use, but with less octane, you won't get the full benefit possible from a forced-induction engine.
Those octane-in-a-bottle products you get at the auto parts store are snake oil. The little 10oz or so of what they give you will only raise your octane a few points. Points are 1/10 of a whole, so the benefit per tank isn't even the difference between mid grade and super. They'll turn 87 into 87.4. Most of them contain toluene. If you want to see a difference, you'd need to add a gallon or so of pure toluene to a tank. I used to do that years ago until the price of toluene went way up and made it impractical.
I have a water/meth injection system in my car now which is more cost-effective for the benefit. The additional octane and cooler charge air benefit is really noticeable.
Highest octane I ever put in my car from the pump was 104 when I used to take my old Mopar turbo to the track. That was fun while the tankful lasted. :-)
