from the turbo. remove the rear motor mount bracket that attaches to the head. leave the intake on too. be really careful when you lift off the head.
Most overheated b202's ruin the pistons, so you might have some piston slap noise, low compression or excessive blow-by. carefully check the bores for scuffing from the pistons. What caused it to overheat? Heads are cheap, I just sold some for scrap.
My friend went to pick-a part for a cooling fan and bought a complete engine and trans from a 90 turbo for $200, they thought it was just an engine.
