I noticed on my '89 that both the inner and out CV boots are torn. I plan on replacing them myself.
My two main questions are,
Since its on the drivers side, do I still need to support the A-arm with a block of wood or whatever? I've only read about doing that on the passenger side.
I've been reading that people undo the upper and lower ball joints, pull back the outer boot and release the circlip and yank the knuckle around to pop the outer CV off the shaft. But since I need to to both inner and outer boots would it just be easier to also take off the tie rod end and just remove the entire steering knuckle from the car and work on it outside of the car? ( I only ask since I know that can be done on 9000s.)
Thanks, Dan
