I know I am a bit touchy on this subject.
We are now playing with 'vintage' cars and using the wrong name can get a new player into 'incorrectly represented' or some-such.
8-spoke wheels from Saab came in (3)+(1) manufacture-identities.
The original was the true 'Minilite', 15 x 5.5 made by Minilite for Saab.
They are most easily ID-ed by having no rim 'lip' on the outside - you can't put rim weights on these. I think they were unfinished aluminum. These came with special shouldered 'mag-type' lug nuts.
The next were the Carroll Shelby wheels, 15 x 5.5 made by Carroll Shelby wheels for Saab. Polished rim with painted spokes - black = 'Silvervane' , and gold = 'Goldvane'. These used the shouldered lug nut in common with the Inca and Soccerball wheels.
Ronal Silverspoke wheels, fully painted silver and using a standard taper seat lug nut with a black plastic cap [ not sure if this was the lug supplied with the wheels ?? ] came in two versions. 15 x 5.5 for the '87 and earlier c900 and 15 x 6 with the exposed locater stud hole for the 9000 and the 88+ c900 with a note that you needed to use 'spring stops' on the c900.
There is also a 'not quite similar' 8-spoke wheel, 15 x 6, manufactured by JML for Saab 9000 that has a larger flat center with recessed lugs and a flush-insert center cap, all silver painted.
The Minilites and Shelbys came with their own plastic center caps, and the Ronals used the hex cap first seen on the Inca. The hex cap works on the Shelbys - and the Minilite ?

For anyone looking - Rota [ look on E-bay ]makes an 8-spoke wheel 'RB' in a 15 x 6 with painted spokes and polished rim in a 25 offset that should work great on c900's. They also make a 16 x 7 in 12 and 22 offset that could work. They are very reasonable - almost cheap in price and have a reputation as good wheels.
