James,
On the 3M side - it was really funny since the label on the can was saying quite different things if read in russian, english, danish and greek. In russian and english it mentioned that parts you're gluing can be twisted across each other for the 1st 1-3 minutes, but I wasn't able to find the same instructions in DK and GR. On the other hand in DK and GR editions there was smth about 25-30 minutes (and both RU and GB versions said nothing on this) - I took it to be cement time.
On the permatex side it was p/no 27828, 3M played under p/no 08080.
Unfortunately, as I've already said, good thought comes late so I had to use some plastic canisters (full of water or washer fluid) to press the fabric on to the base (I almost said 'on to the cardboard', but there's some fiberglass there too). I wish I had those cellophane bags full of sand - should be quite helpful.
