Clutch MC seals and bleeding resolution? Posted by CBS [Email] (#969) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CBS) on Fri, 8 Jul 2011 08:22:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I too my large syringe and injected fluid directly into the hose from reservoir to MC generating a LOT of pressure. I was finally able to move some fluid out the slave bleeder. I got pressure at the pedal for about 20 minutes. I suspect a bad seal replacement job (I had to reuse the rear seal since this seal was missing from the eEuro kit). So I resigned myself to try bleeding one more time (about the 20th time). This time I used my syringe and tried reverse bleeding at the slave. Again, I was generating a Lot of pressure but no fluid came into the reservoir. Suddenly the hose separated from the syringe squirting fluid everywhere. OK, I'm done. Time to order a new MC. So I tightened the slave bleeder and started the cleanup process. Once done, I got into the car and to my surprise, the pedal was holding pressure. It's been 20 hours and still holding. I must have gotten an air pocket out of the MC or something, even though no fluid entered the reservoir. The continuum/conundrum resonates still. So, I'll wait and see...and probably have to order a new MC anyway...
