Fuel Injectors Have No Power Posted by Shaun [Email] (#683) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Shaun) on Sat, 9 Jul 2011 12:21:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So, I try starting my 85 900T after 9-10 months of weekend work. I check the injector connection with a "noid" light. No power. I go through the steps in Bentley's ....no power. I have a new relay. No voltage. Bentley's last suggestion is to check the Blue/Red wire for voltage at the injector.....instead, I check at the fuel pump relay because that is where the Blue/White wire originates. I have power into the relay. The Brown/Whie wire has power.....but no power to Blue/Red(#87 on the relay).
Seems to me that if Bentley's says check for power at the injector (BL/RD), then it should have power coming out of the relay to the injector.
One note: both the fuel pump relay and the LH main relay both have a brown/white wire coming out. If I have those connections reversed, could that prevent power to the Blue/Red wire out of the fuel pump relay.
Suggestions? And/Or comments on some simple screw up I've made and can't see?
