Pressure and MC bleed; greatlarz explanation Posted by CBS [Email] ![]() ![]() |
This from greatlarz, Larry, earlier: "I still don't understand why you have to put any pressure against the line either way from the slave or the master Maybe you have a plugged hydraulic line,or the flex line is collapsing inside like the flexible brake lines do after a lot of years,Also if the master cyl isn't returning all the way it may cover the port and not allow any fluid past.Just some thoughts,Larry"
Great thoughts Larry. I guess this explanation goes to the guts of my earlier post explaining difficulty in moving fluid while reverse pressure and pressure bleeding clutch MC. Though my hydrolic line is new. Since the position of the MC piston is determined mechanically, I don't see how the seals could be covering the port. I wish I could visualize what happens when the piston is depressed relative to the ports. I also wonder if a tiny piece of debris is lodged in the port? I would think though that using that much pressure would dislodge it. Just some thoughts.
