ABS failure: sometimes it's not ABS that fails

Folks,
while working on IDM installation I was lucky to notice that ABS system pressure sensor connector was shot. I not quite sure if it was me who broke it or it was the shop that usually carries the maintenance and services or it went south completely on its own. Nevertheless, if I don't replace or fix it then my ABS pump will be shot (or, just as 2nd option - servo-functionality will be lost and brakes will no longer be power-assisted; it depends if the connector pins make close circuit or open circuit). I was twice lucky since was able to find a new connector and successfully pull out pins from the old one.
So it's not always ABS that goes down on its own, but rather a single component that kills the whole system. Or the user that either kills that component or just doesn't pay any attention nor spends any his time on car inspection and maintenance.
Good luck to your all,
Zig
