Aero rims, 205/55/16 tires, rear rubbing issues

Hi everyone,
I recently put a set of refurbed 16 inch Aero rims on my '94 900TC, and put Dunlop SP Sport 8000 205/55ZR16 tires on. My mechanic said I shouldn't have any issues. With just me in the car, I haven't noticed anything, but with a passenger in the front last night, I noticed a lot of rubbing in the RR wheel well over road imperfections or road transitions.
Is there anything I can do to try and curtail this? The car has new Bilstein HD shocks all around, replaced last year, and about 3000 miles ago. I was wondering whether 205/50 or 195/50 would have been a better choice of tire size? The car handles brilliantly on these Dunlops, however. If worst comes to the worst, my Alfa 164 S has a set of 16 inch rims and older tires that I could swap these on to.
Thanks!
Paul H.
