Black surfaces emit heat better then other colors, but the improvement is minor and of lower order then surface area, working medium(s) transfer and so forth. Bottom line: if the rad looks good in all the other aspects then put it on and consider your rides pimped up (compliments goin' to xZi).

P.S.
Re 'never seen black-painted alu rad': most of low- to mid-grade radiators for electronic devices are made of aluminum and are often black-colored. You may want to refer to your favourite store catalogue on this.
