Anti Lock Brake light on continuously..... Posted by vsfoxe [Email] ![]() ![]() |
The Saab Continuum got me tonight on my '90 SPG. I changed the fuel filter, because I suspected a fuel delivery obstruction. I relieved system pressure by pulling Fuel Pump fuse with the engine running. I think I heard a strange "click" noise when I pulled the fuse for the fuel pump. Nothing odd happened - some fuel dripped onto yhe floor of garage during removal. Installed new filter, 4 seals, put the fuse back in, and car s6tarted up after turning over a few times. The Continuum strikes! - Now I have the Anti Lock light on constantly, with the brakes seeming to work as usual. I can hear the ABS pump run, and shut off, but orange light stays on. If I pump the brakes around 15 times, the Brake Fluid light comes on, the pump runs, and when the pump shuts off the Brake Fluid light goes out, but the Anti Lock light just stays on. All fuses are good including the ABS ones on the passengers side fender well. I reseated the two relays in the ABS fuse box. Any suggestions? I know the ABS area is difficult, but perhaps someone has experience with this. The ABS on this car has been working perfectly (almost) for 9 years. I reviewed the work I just did and see no correletation. Fuel pump & filter = ABS system? Huh? Thanks for listening. Vern
