Hello everyone, its been a while since I have sold my 900C and have posted on this board. I recently met a new Saab owner at my college campus. We have been talking about some running issues he has been having with his 83' 900 8 valve non-turbo M/T.In the past few months the car has received a new ditributor, cap, ignition coil and plugs because the car was running rough and stumbling/stalling at idle
Three weeks ago the car was towed to the shop because the clutch slave cylinder failed. The Clutch, slave, and the clutch line (not cable) were replaced.
Since the Saab has been back from the shop the car is again running rough and stalling in traffic. The idle is about 500 RPM. The car once warm will not restart right away (sometimes it takes 5 minutes sometimes it takes 50). The CEL is not on. I had a issue with my ignition coil and hard restart once the car was warm with my 87' 900TC. We installed a new coil and no change. We also checked for vacume leaks and all the hoses look okay and are fresh.
I have not owned a 8 Valve 900 so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to look next? Could something have been done wrong with the clutch replacement that would cause this? He can't really afford any more shop visits right now any help would be appreicated! TIA
