S-W,
tripods are pretty straight-forward: pull the axle out by any means available and have them replaced. Hint: be careful not to smash a tripod or it'll break apart into pieces (I mean the needles).
Inner drivers are about much the same as tripods, the only hint is to be careful with the shims: don't lose them, don't bend them, don't hurt'em.
Whenever you do a tripod or an inner driver it's always worth replacing the rubber boots on the axle. If working on an inner driver then it's also worth replacing seals (that very O-ring + driver seal) and ball bearing - just for sure. Don't forget to clean the bolts and apply the silicone sealant on them when putting the whole thing back on.
